Growing the Next Generation.
And Jesus said to him, "You shall love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind. This is the great and first commandment. And a second is like it: You shall love your neighbor as yourself."
Matthew 22:37-39
A Firm Foundation.
At Spanish River Christian School, we seek to prepare students to live a Christian life in contemporary society. We strive to develop a desire in children to study God's Word and to apply the Scriptures to their daily lives. Daily Bible classes, chapel programs, and various other programs help equip students with a Biblical worldview that allows them to develop spiritually, socially, and academically and prepares them to live out their calling as the “light of the world” in high school and beyond.
Students have a wide variety of opportunities for Christian leadership ranging from classroom leadership positions in elementary school to National Junior Honor Society, study hall mentorship, student assistant, Student Council, and athletic team captainship in middle school.
We believe that God hears us when we pray. Every year on the National Day Of Prayer, we set aside time for a school-wide Prayer Walk around our campus, during which students pray for our school community, our local and national leaders, individual friends and family, and other people and places in the world.
Praying Parents.
Praying Parents is a volunteer ministry of Spanish River Christian School in which caring members of the SRCS family uphold our school and community in prayer. We are under the umbrella of the Parent Teachers Fellowship (PTF) and supported by the Volunteer Coordinator.
The mission of SRCS is to educate the whole child spiritually, socially, and academically under the Lordship of Jesus Christ.
The mission of Praying Parents is to support the child spiritually, and to make asking for, receiving, and responding to God's blessings as easy and enjoyable as possible for the SRCS community, staff, and students.
This mission is accomplished by providing a structure that ensures that each student and family has a parent praying for them, and that each praying parent has a rewarding experience, whether praying with other parents, with students, or in their home.
